Well, it is a quiet Sunday afternoon and as I sit here watching the Return of the King I feel the need to scribe a post for the rest of the world. So what is new with me, well that is a big nothing. I utterly despise going to work, but that is really nothing new. I am absolutely pissed that they are forcing me to get a flu shot, I am ok with the TB test, but seriously a flu shot. Ef them. I have never wanted to get a flu shot, and want to get one even less now that I have to get it. Seriously, I think this "swine" flu thing is really getting out of hand, but what can you do about it. As some of you that read this God forsaken piece of the web know, I bought an Eee PC on Super Bowl Sunday. I figured since it has been a few months, and I have absolutely nothing better to talk about, I should make some sort of comment on my opinion of said machine. So with that in mind, on to the review.

First I should mention the reason that I bought the computer in the first place, given that I already owned a very nice laptop. Really I just wanted a machine that I could throw into my "man purse" and take wherever I went, ie. work. Secondly I should specify that I bought the 1000H model which came with a 10 inch screen, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom, 1 gig of RAM and a 160 gig hard drive. It also came with Bluetooth and wireless N capabilities. Installed on this modest system was the dreaded XP Home. Out of the box, it was a fun little beast to play with and a breeze to set up, I think I was surfing the "net" within 5 minutes of the unboxing. Even with the admittedly modest specs that this machine, it never seems like it is overly taxed by day to day tasks.

I have heard some people(Wes) talk of theirs just randomly shutting off, but I have never had this issue. In fact, other than not getting a BIOS splash screen at boot, I have had no problems at all. Well that is, I haven't had any issues with the hardware. Windows is a whole other story all together and my beefs with Microsoft could probably go on forever, but for my sanity and yours I will not talk about them. Nor will I have any of those problems anymore since I deep sixed XP in favor of Eeebuntu 3.0.

So now that it is probably just Vanberge and possibly Vanlandw reading I will go on. Eeebuntu is a Ubuntu variant that was built to work with the modest hardware of the Asus Eee PC line, and other "netbooks" out on the market. Everything works out of the box, so to speak. I tried the last build of Eeebuntu which was 2.0 and was very impressed, but I have to say that the improvements made in 3.0 are like night and day. First is the version of Ubuntu that is used as the base, 2.0 being based on 8.10 and 3.0 on 9.04. Second is the overall look and feel to the system. 2.0 had a nice Gnome desktop with AWN taskbar much like the one that is on Mac OSX. 3.0, or at the least the base version of it, does away with AWN if favor of the standard Gnome desktop. I personally like this a lot better. Also the artwork got a major overhaul and it is so much nicer from an athstetic perspective and lends itself a polished and professional feel. As to performance, I have to say that 3.0 is loads better than its precursor. If nothing else, the updates to the wifi are worth the upgrade alone. I don't know if they changed the driver for the wifi or what, but my connections are faster then ever. Other than that it is very much like any other Linux distro, very well put together and easy to use and limitless in its configurability. Anyone with a "netbook" (Wes) should look into installing Eeebuntu, and anyone looking for a small mobile computer should look into the Eee PC 1000H.

So I went to see the movie the Watchmen today..... um yeah. In all of the press that I have read and all of the reviews that I have seen, one thing is very much not talked about. Dr. Manhattan's schwantz is hanging out for the whole world to see for 85% or more of the scenes that he is in. Let me tell you something, it is a bit distracting. Nothing like paying $8.50 to see 3 hours of blue dick. Great, that's an image that really doesn't leave your skull in a hurry. The weirdest thing was that there is no mention of his being naked at all in the movie. Everyone just goes about their lives as if it isn't weird this guy's shit is just hanging out. Like someone wouldn't say "That's a great theory Dr. Manhattan, by the way could you move your dick out of the way, I can't seem to see the monitor."

But enough about the big blue dick, how was the movie? Well, it was weird. It jumped around a lot, telling character's back stories, coming back to the present, there's a blue dick, the commies are invading Afghanistan, back to the 40's and the original heroes, now there are 3 of the blue guys and all of their dicks are out, now we're on Mars and we get a close up of the blue guys spread ass, now Hendrix is playing while we fly to Antarctica and the world gets nuked. I guess if I had read the comic I would have been a little better prepared for all of the jumps and such. But all that said, it was an interesting story, I don't think I will go see it again in the theater, but might consider buying it on DVD. At least on the TV screen the dick won't be as big as my whole body. BRB, having a good cry.

Marvel is really pushing the limits!

In what I think turned out to be a Banner year(pun completely intended), Marvel has really set forth an ambitious agenda. Most of you know that they released not one but two movies based on very lucrative comic book franchises, and I have to say after finally watching both of said films I am very impressed with the direction that is being taken with Marvel's material. I have always been a fan of the X-men movies and am looking forward to the stand alone Wolverine movie, as he is my favorite character. The Spiderman movies were pretty good, though I have not seen 3. The Fantastic Four I have not yet viewed as I was never a big fan, but I have heard good things about them, Jessica Alba being just one of them.(Yeah Baby!) Now I am a huge fan of the Iron Man movie, course I have always like Robert Downey and Gwenyth Paltrow was suprisingly hot in that film(IMHO). Tonight I finally got around to watching the new Hulk movie and was pleasantly surprised in how much more I liked it than the other version. Edward Norton was excellent as usual and Liv Tyler was hot as usual. But that aside, I really enjoyed the fact that with both Iron Man and The Hulk, Marvel has really put forth the seeds to set up for The Avengers movie. Those who have not seen both of these movies, I won't go into details, but I think it is interesting that they are using their current films to promote those that aren't even in production yet. Novel Idea. All I can say is that I hope that Avengers turns even half as good as Iron Man and maybe just a little better than the Hulk. Now bring on Wolverine!!!!!!

What can I say about the Vice Presidential debate? How would I describe it? Painful. Sarah Palin was absolutely worthless in that debate. She can not stay on task and answer the questions. And is she really serious about all this "Golly" "Darn right"stuff? Unbe-fucking-lievable! If I have said it once I have said it a million times, what the HELL was John McCain thinking when he chose her. She is a terrible choice for VP. She is clearly not ready to step up to the big leagues. I mean, that "team of mavericks" cliche was getting pretty old pretty damn fast, thankfully Biden took a jab at that. Now Joe Biden, on the other hand, was polished and respectful. His points were well established, clear and concise. I think that he was by far the winner in this debate, regardless about what others may think.

I know that I am quite a bit behind the times, but well I have been busy. I have been working an ungodly amount over the past month. So much that I don't really remember what the hell life is. But anyway, I did manage to go up to the Old Man's place over the 4th and I must say that is was well worth it. Besides just getting away from town for a few days, I managed to take Nate up there and have an outstanding time drinking, feasting and blowing shit up. But I must say that the highlight of the trip was the fact that Nate got a pair of overalls. It is really funny to think that this whole trip and the purchase of said garment stems from a picture that I took of my father.
Now Nate was so taken by said photo that he said that he just had to have a set of them. Now I know that he was joking, but my pops being the way he is, didn't, and made sure that Nate got a set of overalls before we left. Thanks Dad, that was definitely worth the trip.

I was utterly stunned by the skill with which Mr. Jay carries out not only the performing of the illusions but with the impressive way in which he interacts with the crowd and interjects humor. Get me Richard Simmons on the line, there is an emergency that requires short shorts, sequins, a thinning afro, and whole shitload of crying. I am talking about the crazy weight problem in the U.S.. Now I know that I am not exactly the trimmest individual around, but at least I am capable of seeing to my own needs. Including wiping my own ass without needing accessories.

Apparently there is a segment of our population that requires a device to hold the TP so that they can finish their business. It seems insane to me that there should be a need for this product, called the "Bottom Buddy", and more so that some twisted mind thought it up.(Yes, I am slightly jealous I didn't think of it. I could use the cash) Now don't get me wrong, I do feel bad for those that have a genuine health issue that precludes them from being able to exercise, or ones that put the weight on despite diet and exercise.(Or perhaps they just have T-Rex arms) But I have no sympathy for those that just sit around eating chips while their asses absorb the couch. If you are so big that you need a device to help you wipe yourself, and have no health issues that prevent it, you should put down the remote and the Twinkies and go for a walk. It will do you some good to burn off some calories and get some sun on that pasty shit you call skin, Powder. BRB Jumping directly into the heart of Hades.

It has been quite some time since I have graced the internet with my presence, but against all odds I am here again. So what has been going on with me you ask? Jack and Shit. And Jack has left town. So with nothing of great personal interest going on I have to resort to technology and literature.
On the technology side I have been crazy about the Linux. In the past few months I have run no fewer than 6 Linux distributions on my desktop. Between Fedora, OpenSUSE and the Ubuntus, I have been quite busy. I am sure that most of those that possibly read this blog are going "What the hell is Enfuego talking about?", there are a few of you that at the very least have a clue of what I speak.(Mainly I am talking to you Vanberge) In the short time that I have been involved with Linux I have begun to develop a sense of what I like and what I do not. So far I like Ubuntu and its "out of the box" functionality. I like Fedora's look and some of its feature set. OpenSUSE has a very polished look and feel to it, however it requires (In my case) too much configuration to be made usable. So as it stands I am back to Ubuntu and its overall usability. Hopefully it will become even better looking when the new version comes out in a few weeks. Mainly I hope that they incorporate the latest version of Gnome.
As far as literature goes I have been addicted to a particular book, Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff Christ's Childhood Pal. If you have not read or have never heard of it, I heartily suggest that you get off your ass and pick it up. I have never been moved to tears by a book before, though I must say that they were tears of laughter. The brilliance of this book goes far beyond the title, as great as it is. It is irreverent, smart and mostly it is engaging in it's ability to really take the story of Jesus in a new direction. So if there are any heretics out there that read my blog and take my sinful words to heart, go out there and pick up the book and I hope that you get as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

Okay, so immediately upon seeing this hoss' name, my brain comes to a screeching halt. I want to know why. Why would someone force upon their child such a ridiculous name. I mean seriously, there are 3 whole syllables that really do not need to be there. Not to mention the apostrophe. Wouldn't it have been much easier to name him say Shawn. Shawn Ferguson, what is the matter with that. Easy to remember and to spell, and for a football player that is a plus.

There is a whole list of just sports names I could go through and tear apart, Anfernee Hardaway, but this was the most recent and receives my whole attention. What I am saying, I guess, is that I am tired of people who think they are being creative when they choose a name for their child, when in fact they are just making asses of themselves and potentially their children. I mean what is wrong with Mike. Everyone seems to want to be like him.

So heres the deal. A few posts ago I talked about how much I was enthralled with Ubuntu. Now that has not changed one bit, I LOVE Linux! However in same said post I also said that I would not run Windows again, well here it is just a month or two later and I am running a damn Microsoft OS again. Granted I am running Vista and it came loaded on my new laptop, but that really isn't the point. I really never wanted to have to deal with anything that came out of that Redmond, Washington hell hole ever again. Oh well, I guess I will just give it a try until it pisses me off and then I will put Ubuntu on this computer too. But until then Bill Gates has me as a customer again. Here are some screenies.

First off, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well. Next I would like to say how happy I am that it is a new damn year. 2007 pretty much bit/kicked my sorry ass. Between BS at work and paying rent for two places, I pretty much got hosed royally. Of course the 2 rent thing was my fault completely, it still sucked. So pretty much I have been looking forward to the new year since about June, and just when things start coming around my way, down to 1 rent and work "kind of" calms down, 2007 decides to send a final FU in the guise of a blow alternator. Happy New Year to me.

As I said in my last post I have migrated to Ubuntu Linux, and after these few days I have come to a decision. I am officially done with Microsoft. I will only ever run Linux or Mac OS. Windows is just too frigging much of a pain to ever have to deal with willingly again. Here are some screens of my desktop and some apps. Long Hiatus and a Gibbon with Guts

Well it has been quite some time since I have updated my blog. Many of you have cursed me out and hinted (or flat out told me) that I should just get rid of it, but I will do no such thing. I am not one to quit something, especially when I am told to do so. Ef that. So what you may ask would bring me out of my long silence. Well I finally received my CD from Canonical today and decided to throw caution to the wind and give Windows the boot. As I write I am currently running Ubuntu Linux ver. 7.10 aka Gutsy Gibbon. So far I am enjoying it, though of course time will tell the whole story. Networking is much more intuitive, as I had to do no configuration of my wireless shy of providing the authorization code for access. Of course there is the tediousness of setting everything up like e-mail and instant messaging, but that has been relatively painless. I haven't tried anything that requires the terminal yet, but I am sure that it is only a matter of time before that is needed. I will try to keep everyone posted as to my progress with the new system and the pros and cons as I see them. BRB.

I really feel as though tonight may in fact be the night in which the universe finally puts a stop to my heinous existence. Or at least I hoping that it will be merciful and do so. I am so fucking exhausted. Today was an utter nightmare at work being that I was alone, as is normal on the weekends, however today the entire hospital and indeed the entire West Michigan area decided to go absolutely ape shit. In 8 hours I somehow managed to accomplish an amount of work that would be a difficult task with even the standard 3 man shift. Needless to say, I am the Shit. I also managed to do all of this without losing my temper. That alone is a Herculean task for me so I am doubly proud of myself. So right now I am sitting here reflecting on the day, rewarding myself with the sweet nectar of the gods, ALCOHOL, and preparing myself for the deep slumber that I am hoping will envelop me this evening. If everything works out in my favor, I will not awaken from said slumber and attain blissful oblivion. BRB booze and.................

I am tired of all the damn comments about how I should post. I really don't know why I should post since pretty much everyone who reads this knows what I have been up to, but the requests will continue until such time as I relent and share the comings and goings of my sorry existence. So here we go. I have recently taken up the study of 18th Century Poeticism and I must say that the works of Lord Byron are masterful in their darkness. But enough about my hobby. I have also purchased two brilliant new albums. Megadeth- United Abominations, and Dream Theater- Systematic Chaos. I lack the proper vocabulary to adequately describe my enjoyment of these two masterpieces. Once again these two seminal bands exceed my wildest expectations and render me incapable of suitable prose. I know what you all are thinking. ENOUGH WITH THE INTELLECTUAL BABBLE. I agree. Anyway, I am enjoying these albums very much and I encourage all to acquire them. I have also been trying to locate a copy of the new Megadeth live DVD and have so far been thwarted by local retail merchants. I suppose I will have to get it online unless a miracle happens in the next few days. Other then that I am carrying on my usual pitiful existence and will continue to do so until such time as the universe sees fit to end it. Sunny outlook eh? BRB going to poke a bear in the eye with a stick.

I swear to GOD if I didn't love driving so much I would just fucking walk everywhere. Jesus Christ, all I wanted to do was get my fucking brakes on my fucking truck fixed, you know, make it drivable. But not these asshole, they want to do the brakes, an alignment, shocks/struts, etc. All to bring my truck to "100%". All told they wanted to take $1300 from me. I told them no thanks. Then they said that it would be $949 to do the brakes and alignment. I told them again negative, to put it back together and mi padre would come and get it. (Best Dad Ever) Then they tell me the can do my brakes and forget all the other "recommendations" for $479. You know what fuckers, if you had told me that the first time, you would have my damn business, but you screwed the pooch on that one. So mechanics can kiss my ass and if my truck breaks down again, I am just going to start taking the Rapid, it has to be cheaper. BRB

Movies, Movies, Movies

Well I have been on a roll recently with the posts, so before I lose interest again I think I will talk about some movies that I have recently viewed. I bought both of the magic related dramas released last year, The Illusionist and The Prestige. Now I must admit that I was looking forward to The Prestige owing to the fact that I enjoy both Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman and the fact that David Bowie is in it is phenomenal. However, I have yet been able to sit through the entire picture, I don't know if it is just I am not in the mood for that kind of movie or if the movie itself is just not that interesting to me. At some point I will force myself to finish watching it. The Illusionist, on the other hand, I was very impressed with. The story was not the greatest, but the performances by Edward Norton and Paul Giamotti were extraordinary. And of course Jessica Biel was visually stunning and her performance was adequate. Now the other two movies that I have partaken in, I am completely enamored with. After listening to all of the hype surrounding it, and the natural interest that I had, I bought Casino Royale. This is by far the greatest Bond film in the long history of that franchise, also I believe that Daniel Craig has given the best portrayal of the suave British agent. He is both charming, without being over the top like Roger Moore, and ruthless in the vein of what Timothy Dalton was trying to do in The Living Daylights and License To Kill. This makes for a more believable Bond, in my opinion. The only complaint about the movie I have is why the hell did they destroy that beautiful Aston Martin DBS, I want to cry every time I see that scene. Anyways, I come to the film which compels me to post, that would be 300. What words can possibly describe this film, legendary, classic, epic? This movie encompasses all of those words and more that my feeble grasp of this and any language can not possibly render into coherent sentences. Having only seen one movie in the theater this year, I must say that I find it hard to believe that Hollywood can possibly produce another film this year, or in any year soon, that will match this colossal masterpiece. Spartans! Enjoy your breakfast, for tonight we dine in HELL!

Well, Well, Well

Once again I have returned to the realm of cyberspace to share tales of my many exploits. What have I been up to recently? Well actually I have been quite busy. Work has, as would be expected, taken up a great deal of my time. I am greatly enjoying my current profession and hope to continue to do so into this new year. Also, I am happy to say, that the greatest show in the world is back for yet another thrill ride, I can't wait to see how it all turns out. ( R.I.P. Curtis Manning ) But enough about 24, there are many posts about what has happened and I will not go into it myself. Also I am preparing to move out of my current abode, so that is occupying much of my time and energy. I am moving to 41st and Division, so Vanberge get ready to have a new neighbor. But the biggest current news I have is that once again the Earth has managed to make its way around that giant gas bag that we call the sun, meaning that against all odds I have survived to see yet one more birthday. It never ceases to amaze me that the universe allows my continued existence, proving once and for all that there really is no God. To go along with said day of spawning ritual I also had the " pleasant " experience of spending 1 and 1/2 hours at the Sec. of State office to get a new plate and tab for my truck, what utter bullshit that was. I think those dumbasses down there can convey more coherent thoughts in Spansh then they can in English, WTF. I didn't think that many Mexicans came out for anything shy of a Menudo reunion. Anyways, Tuesday is my birthday and as I do every Tuesday I will be at the Chicago Drive Pub, getting drunk and singing Kareoke, so anyone who wishes to come out is certainly welcome to do so. I am shooting for a 9 pm start time, so come on down one and all and watch me make a complete jackass of myself. BRB

Wow it has only been 2 days since my last post and here I am again. Don't get excited, I am not going to entrall you all with a scathing diatribe, using words that the devil himself has never conceived. Instead, I am writing to let anyone I may not have already told, that I am going to have a gathering over at my place on Sat.the 16th. Sorry to everyone out there who actually comes here to read about my pathetic existance. I meant to update this a while ago but i have been rather preoccupied. Let's see since last time I posted, Vanberge had a bachelor party and got married. These events are chronicled on various other sites, so if you haven't heard the tales you must live under a bigger rock then I do. Two weeks ago I purchased a 1 year membership to Powerhouse Gym and have been pumping iron after work. Pretty much anymore, I get up go to work, go to the gym and then go home to bed. I don't really drink/ go to the bar, much to the complaint of certain individuals. ( SORRY GUYS ) This past weekend, and into this week I have been residing in the throbbing metropolis that is McBain MI. This was partly due to a weekend getaway and partly because my Grandfather " bought the farm". I spent an entire day dressed in a suit that I really only needed to wear for about an hour, but then again how often do I get to dress up nice. The funeral was OK, but I am again reminded of why I do not attend church, dammit if preachers aren't long-winded. Shut the hell up and lets get this sorry affair over. But anyway, he is dead and buried and now I can go on with my life. OK, I am tired and my shoulders hurt from the gym. I need a drink and will be at the Pub Friday after work. BRB

I have spent much of my time at my place of employment, and apparently a certain someone has been broadcasting my "business" to some of the ladies. Loose lips sink ships. I still love my job and look forward to another entertaining week. I had jury duty last week for a grand total of 3 hours and 15 minutes, basically the tax payers of Kent county paid me $17.50 to sit on my ass and do absolutely nothing. Good going there. Over the holiday my father and I got freakishly drunk and I had to leave my truck at the RODEO when we got a ride home. How redneck is that? Other than that it has been pretty quiet in the land of Enfuego, just work sleep, and the occasional drunk. Speaking of which I think I hear tequila calling. So BRB and F OFF! :-)

Well well well.... Look who is finally back. It has been a while since my last (worthwhile) post and I suppose it is time once again to enthrall the world with tales of my deeds (and misdeeds). As many of you know, I recently was invited to Hart, MI where I was a guest of the progenitors of Clan Van. While there I took part in the upgrading of Vanberge's car and was rewarded for my feeble attempts at assistance with generous praise and a wonderous feast from MickeyVB.

Last weekend marked the infamous tubing trip, and at long last I was able to attain said trip. What can I say about what happened there? Well let me put it into perspective for you, I was so drunk the first night that I was sitting around the campfire wearing nothing but my socks, shoes and underwear (at one point I think the underwear was questionable) Mind you all that we have done on the first night is arrive, set up camp, eat and drink. So needless to say I felt great the next day, when the tubing was actually to take place. Besides a fantastic hangover, I was awakened (VERY early I might add) by the sounds of flip flops going back and forth to the bathroom. BTW Fuck the Newaygo Speedway and their idiotic way of providing air.(I am glad I defiled their bathroom, assholes) What to say about the actual float down the river, it was fun and I got a "Fantastic" sunburn, other than that it was pretty tame. (No BOOBIES :-( ) The next day, as we were packing up to leave, a monsoon decided to roll in. Luckily for us we made it out before the storm hit, but we were treated to quite the show as we sat at Denny's for breakfast. Thus the trip was brought to a close for another year.

Tonight I have just returned from the (apparently) thriving metropolis that is Detroit after witnessing the Tigers defeat the Indians. I haven't been to game in years and they are doing good, so I had to make the trek. I must say that I have not had as much fun watching baseball in years and I may have to start tuning in more often. So with my new Tigers shirt and hat I sit here reliving the deeds of the past few weeks and all I have to say is: GO TIGERS!!!

Well let me see, I am currently partaking of party over at Michael Conant's house, and it seems as though I am the only sober person here. Normally this would be irritating, but tonight I am having a blast chatting and watching all of the drunks. Meyer, has completed an entire fifth of UV green and has now started on the beer that he brought. Once again I am stunned by the sheer volume of alcohol that he is able to comsume and not just tip over dead. The rest of the partiers are not quite as intoxicated as Mr. Meyer, and when are they ever, but they are definitely feeling good. There is Beer Pong and dirty thoughts and comments all around. Sadly I will have to work tomorrow, but I think that the bar will be calling after I get out. Well until the next time, BRB.

Well, it has been a while but I suppose I can grace the internet with new info. Let's see, in the past few weeks I have spent copious amounts of time in a state of sheer intoxication, it has been wonderful. I attained 24 oz. of the " Jack Bauer" and sadly managed to survive the encounter, though I was viciously tortured at his hands. I spent an entire weekend in the U.P. fishing with my Dad, that was fun,but I really never want to go back to Drummond Island. I spent an evening down in Fennville with Skinny and a good portion of the Skinner clan, though I did not take my fat ass swimming. The zip line they had set up at the " swimming hole " did look like fun. I have spent most of my time though enjoying the perks of my job, specifically the sheer amount of lovely ladies that work for that fine institution. Apparently Mike Conant's new lady friend works there as well so I will have to make it my new job giving her plenty of shit, sorry but that is my calling in life. Other than that it has been pretty tame in the world of Enfuego, no new ladies in my life as of yet, but anything is possible. To those who visit regularly I will try to post more often, my internet has been on the fritz lately, so sorry. Nothing else going so I will BRB till later.

Well this week has been quite interesting. I got to go to the bar twice, the first being on Tuesday night and then again on Wednesday. All I have to say about Tuesday is WOW. Apparently I felt the need to get violetly drunk, and if that wasn't enough, I managed to get up and sing " Rough and Ready " for the entire establishment. Sweet Jesus Christ I suck, but I had a good time. Afterwards Meyer and I went to Denny's where I sobered up and ate a feast. So needless to say I was in no mood to drink on Wednesday, but when it is you buddies birthday you go with the flow. To Tini Bikinis I went after a long day of work and watched Jefe manage to all but take home one of the dancers, yet again. Good going Jefe.( sniff... I'm so proud) I did not get drunk, but I did get an amazing lap dance. The girl sucked my ear, WOW! SCHWING! So all in all it was a very good couple of nights. Well I believe that tonight I will, in fact, be sealing my fate for eternity. Those of you who know me, know that at best I am disdainful of all religions, but for the sake of others, I try not to shit all over their faith. However, recently, I have grown curious as to the beliefs of an aquitance on mine, so I looked up the structure of said beliefs. I was pretty much awed by the lack of thought and sheer idiocy of these peoples beliefs and try as I might to let it go, I can not. These people are called Jehovah's Witnesses ( JW's ) and I believe I must rant about their ideas or my skull will implode. Sorry to any JW's or anyone "involved" with JW's who may read this. Anyway, here goes.

1.) Bible is God's Word and Truth: Perhaps God did come to these writers and inspire them, but did he also come to those who chose the books and inspire them to disregard the " inspired" texts that were omitted.
2.) Bible is more reliable than traditon: How? Because it is printed and bound together it is more reliable? Once again how reliable can it be if certain texts have be left out, you don't get the full picture then.
3.) God's name is Jehovah: Really, I thought it was Jerry. Seriously though I have no arguement here as it is the name of the Jewish God. Of course in Judaism it is sacred and taboo to speak his name aloud.
4.) Christ is God's son and is inferior to him, and Christ was the first of God's creations: Well, maybe I was tripping out in all of those religion classes I took, but I thought the Bible said that God was the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Also I was under the impression that Genesis starts out with God saying " Let there be light". Now I can see that it could be inferred that Christ is the light of the world, but I think that might be reaching a bit far.
5.) We are now in the " time of the end": I must say that according to history, we have always been living in the end, yet we are still here. Oops.
6.) The world will never be destroyed or depopulated: Um... Then were does this end come in at?
7.) The human soul ceases to exist at death/ Hope for dead is resurection: How do you resurrect with out a soul, seems pretty shitty to me. How could I timeshare mine then?
8.) A clergy class and special titles are improper: I'm not completely sure, but I believe that I have heard of Church Elders and that they preach, isn't that both a special title and clergy class, maybe I'm wrong.
9.) Only a little flock of 144,000 go to heaven and rule with Christ: Wow, and to think that these people believe that in all of the billions of people that have ever lived and will ever live, they might be one of them. Thanks I'll take my chances with the Mega Millions, I like my odds better.

Now maybe these people have some very valid agruements for what they believe, one day I would like to hear them. But it seems to me like these beliefs were poorly thought out, and certainly not worthy of basing a religion, let alone investing one's faith in. Well, I think I have doomed myself totally now, so I think I will go out and have some fun being evil. Anyone up for drowning puppies and punching babies? These last few days have passed like most do, meaning that I have done precisely dick. I went to Detroit this weekend as it was my Mom's birthday, had a fantastic margarita at Chili's, and enjoyed cable television.Since coming home I have gone to work, downloaded shit, played video games, ate food that is no good for me, played Oblivion and slept. Basically, I live a life of utter sameness, and yet it is also truely great. Due to the recent shit that I have received about the frequency of my posts, I have decided to bend to the will of the masses and relate my experiences and perhaps a few of my thoughts. I have been performing my duties at the hospital in an admirable fashion( Hence I am known by my co-worker as Captain Save-A-Nurse), I have seen old friends( LOL at Fat Kramer), I have licked Goedge's face( Tastes like Chicken) and played crazy amounts of Oblivion. Also, Thanks to the hospitality of Johnson and Vanberge, I had a fantastic Easter dinner in a family atmosphere, thereby meeting the legendary MickeyVB. It was a huge honor to finally, after all of these years, meet the man that gave rise to the " Brothers McManus". Well, now that I have related my experiences, I will now share some thoughts. First, Wes you are clearly the WORST PERSON EVER because you passed up Easter dinner to do Fucking HOMEWORK!!!! Secondly, I believe that Emily is right in that Goedge has expressed her true feelings in her desire to experience the savory flavor of my testes. Good going Em! I am currently under the influence of several Coor's Lights and have attained Flo's birthday, it is a good day for me. Other than that I have nothing else to relate. BRB

Well I have had quite the day. I played Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion all night, got to bed at 11 this morning. Woke up at 4, played more Oblivion, then went to the Rampage Game. The Rampage got completely thrashed, no big surprise, I have yet to see them win a game. However I really went to hang out with friends and( mainly) to watch the Rage dance team. And to cap it all off, apparently Meyer has foolishly entered a drinking contest with someone described as a machine so I may have to see how that turns out, I think Meyer is going to literally die so it will probably be funny as hell. I think that this will turn out to be the best day that I have had for a while so I had better enjoy it to the fullest. BRB

As I write this I have just completed my longest shift at the hospital to date. While it might not seem like a lot, a half hour can sometimes last a lifetime. Not that there is a lot to my job, the endless walking does tend to take a toll on you.( Is it Thursday Yet?) Work is going pretty damn good and I am starting to get the hang of some of the more technical aspects. I am not really looking forward to working this weekend, but it should be interesting to have Friday and Monday off.( Yay 24!) In closing I must say that GOD DAMN are there some beautiful women at that hospital and that I look forward to getting to know a few/all of them:)
